• At least two people have been killed and there have been a “number of significant injuries” in the Eaton Fire — one of four life-threatening fires destroying homes and prompting ten of thousands of people to evacuate across Los Angeles County.
• Firefighters are battling major blazes on several fronts. The largest and out-of-control fire in Pacific Palisades has destroyed 1,000 structures and burned over 5,000 acres. Fire officials said emergency services are stretched to “their maximum limits.” And police are urging residents to take evacuation orders seriously.
• Authorities warn that fire conditions and strong winds are expected to worsen, leaving all Los Angeles County residents in danger, LA County’s fire chief said.
